Question: I got denied for San Diego state because my zip code was too far away?
I have excellent grades and my GPA was way higher then what you need to trasnfer there but I live in Northern California (San Francisco area) so they told me my application was “low” in priority because I’m out of their “service area”. They denied me.
Does that seem fair?? Aren’t I still a tax paying resident of the state of California?Answer: State schools are incentivized to admit students from the local area. If you really want to go there, move closer for a year and establish residency.
