California Tax Refund Warrant

Question: How can I cash a controllers warrant outside USA?

I am wondering how can I cash a controllers warrant which I have received as a tax refund from state of California that is payable by the treasure of the state of CA.

The problem is that I am currently living outside USA; I live in Egypt.

By the way, the money is not that much to travel to USA to cash the money and get back :)

Answer: You’ll probably have to return that warrant to the State of California and request a check. You can then deposit that check to your bank in Egypt though there will be fees for converting it to the local currency.

(1895), which greatly limited the Congress’s authority to levy an income tax. This Amendment allows the Congress to levy an income tax without regard to the States or the Census.

What should I do?
