Tax Table For 2010

Question: I have a question about lodging my tax return with e-Tax?
Well I am employed on a casual basis, and I have five different employers, all from which I have received taxable income in the past year. I am using e-Tax 2010 to lodge my return but have hit a road bump – in the income section where you enter in your gross incomes and tax withheld etc. the table only has four rows, therefore fields for only four possible employers.
I have five employers, so is there a way to add a row to this table, or do I have to lodge my return using a method other than e-Tax?
Thanks in advance.
Answer: Hi,
There is actually a scroll bar on the side of the etax column you mentioned so you can enter 7 or 8 different employers so you should be fine to lodge your return using etax.
As you’ve had a number of different employers you might be entitled to additional personal allowances, for example you can claim for travel between one place of work and another when you have more than 1 job. Its worth having a look at the job occupation guides created by the ATO to see what might be available to you.

Question: I got denied for San Diego state because my zip code was too far away?
I have excellent grades and my GPA was way higher then what you need to trasnfer there but I live in Northern California (San Francisco area) so they told me my application was “low” in priority because I’m out of their “service area”. They denied me.
Does that seem fair?? Aren’t I still a tax paying resident of the state of California?Answer: State schools are incentivized to admit students from the local area. If you really want to go there, move closer for a year and establish residency.
