Service Tax Accounting Treatment

Question: How much does your health insurance cost per year?
Yes, this is a political question!
So, what is the cost? I am not asking what it costs YOU; I’m asking what amount of money is paid in total to the insurance company to cover you and your family. What you pay, and what your employer pays, combined.
Do you have any idea?
Are there any other things you buy that you have no idea what the cost is?
Do you think the fact that people are so insulated from the actual costs of health services causes the distortions in the market that result in such high prices and costs?
Do you think consumer-based, rather than government-based, solutions, like medical savings accounts and more realistic tax treatment of employer-purchased benefits (treating it as taxable income and giving people an offsetting tax deduction or benefit) would be a better solution to people’s present concerns?
Thanks.
Answer: I know exactly what mine is, since I pay it, and it is a lot…but I would rather pay a lot than have the government run my healthcare.

Income Tax Weekly Calculator
I recently became a member of a savings and benefits club that allowed me to save on everyday purchases.
Additionally there is an extensive list for professional services such as dental, hearing, vision, doctor
visits that you can save money on.
Although I do not purchase medications I do buy pet meds which are reduced in price through our membership with significant savings even after shipping cost included [when they apply.] Shopping online saves time and [gas]money, I prefer the convenience of products shipped to my door versus dealing with errands and traffic.
Finding ways to save on the family budget and getting the most value for our purchases has become more important these days for many families with increased cost of living expenses & income earners laid off or jobs eliminated.
Another feature to your membership is savings for office visits on medical, dental, vision etc. Reduced costs can save families money that have lost employee insurance benefits.
Simply print out your membership ID card which is valid for the entire family. When Contacting these DISCOUNTED PROVIDERS, please have your Discount Card with MEMBER ID Available. This is NOT Insurance.
The ‘Savings Spider’ lists all in one location national discounts (varies by region) on commonly bought goods from groceries to toiletries. Weekly specials are listed with additions for promotional free items or ‘double value’ coupon promotions.
CVS
There are a number of items on sale weekly that will be FREE after ECB. This is a great time to stock up on more school supplies. An ECB is an Extra Care Buck coupon that prints out at the bottom of your CVS receipt when you buy qualifying items. It’s like an instant rebate. Instead of sending away to get your rebate, it prints out right after you buy the product.
Walgreens
Walgreens also has a rebate program called Register Rewards. Just like ECB’s, the coupon (called a Register Reward and also known as an RR) prints out at the end of the transaction.
Rite Aid
Rite Aid has a rebate program called Single Check Rebates (SCR). With this program, you purchase the rebate items listed in the monthly single check rebate booklet . If you use a manufacturer coupon to lower the cost, you will still receive the full rebate amount listed in the booklet (unless otherwise specified). Sometimes this means you make money on the item. If the toothpaste is on sale for $2.99 and the rebate amount is for $2.99, it will be free after rebate. If you also have a $1 manufacturer coupon, you only pay $1.99 at the register (plus tax, if applicable) but you will actually receive the full $2.99 rebate. That’s known as a money maker!

Income Tax Payment Plans

Question: Department of Education is taking my income taxes?
The US Department of education is holding a claim against me. They are requesting to take my federal and state income taxes. I normally get about $3,500 back every year. If they take this amount, I will have my loans paid off in 4 years.
I have tried to go on a payment plan. The collection department told me they can not accept my offer. I asked to pay $100 a month. I only make $12 an hour and I am a single parent. They told me the lowest they will take is $240 a month. There is no way I can pay that.
Should I just let them take my income taxes? At least i’ll have the loan paid off in roughly 4 years. I know I am in the wrong b/c I am in default. Is any one else going through this
Answer: This is a prime example, along with comments from several of your answers to your question of why applying for FAFSA loans can destroy a person’s whole life!
FAFSA application will not allow an age less than 24 years old who cannot answer NO to any one of 7 criterion questions to meet an independent status instead of dependent status. An age less than 24 years old independent child cannot apply on their own merits must rely on parents income, who are trying to save for their retirement!
DOE is the agency that take your income taxes when you got rent due, daycare costs, grocery to buy, school uniforms, gas for a raggedy vehicle and rob your LIFE completely. Why? The government, Congress, whoever, is supposed to help citizens not make one agency ruin you while the other one in conjunction with them destroy your life. The collection agencies are JERKS, yes they’re only doing their job, heard it all before, whatever! Even when DOE take your income taxes over the next 4 years, on the 4th year when you paid up, your credit remains trashed from that day until 7 years later!!
Your entire life becomes screwed because you only wanted to better your life. The government is in cahoots with the schools/universities, which are businesses only. Universities could care less whether you graduate or not! Due to circumstances, sometime beyond your control, DOE and their collection agenciess cannot even allow you to pay $100 for a well made attempt to pay what you already know you owe. That’s the government for you!
