Tax Preparer Vs Cpa
Question: Having your taxes completed and signed by a tax preparer vs yourself?
Lets say an individual has done his/her homework and can proficiently complete his/her own small business taxes using one of the tax softwares out there. Does it make any different to IRS if the taxes are also signed by a tax preparer/CPA ? Does the signature of a tax preparer decrease the chances of being scrutinize or audited ?
Please answer honestly and not just because you’re a tax professional.Answer: The IRS computers are not programmed to see if a return was self prepared or professionally prepared. If you are audited, then it matters.

Tax Preparer Hourly Wage
Question: What is the average hourly wage of a seasonal, entry-level tax preparer in North Carolina?
I’ve heard everything from $8 per hour to $32 per hour, so I don’t really know what to expect when I start in January.
Answer: CPA offices don’t want to pay anything for seasonal workers.
They pay about $8 to $10. If you can get $32 per hour, get a written contract.
