Tax Preparer Licensing

Question: Thinking about applying to work for an accountant.?
Is there anything I need to consider to prevent myself being taken advantage of? I don’t want to become a scape goat. I have a couple of years of accounting course work in college, but no real practical work experience. As long as one is not a CPA nor a Licensed Agent, is there any legal repercussion that could befall a would be tax preparer, bookeeper etc, if e.g. he is asked to sign off on something he doesn’t quite understand etc?
edit: my point is this. I’d like to become an ‘apprentice’ of sorts, but I’m worried that some scrupleless individual might seize the opportunity to find the next “David Duncan”Answer: well if you do not understand do not sign off!!!

Tax Online Return

Question: When will I get my tax rebate if I used Turbo Tax online to file my tax return?
I used turbo tax online to file my taxes and chose to direct deposit, but the deposit went to Santa Clara Bank then to my account……when sould I expect my rebate?
My social ends in 02, so I was expecting it today, May 2nd, but it has not been deposited yet.Answer: When the IRS deposited your refund, they deposited into the Santa Clara Bank as you noted, then that bank transferred it to your bank account, after deducting any applicable fees. That means the IRS has the Santa Clara Bank’s info, not yours, so you won’t get your rebate via direct deposit. You’ll get a paper check mailed to you.
That information is right on TurboTax’s website.
