I have an adjusting journal entry that says Income Tax Expense is .32 with no extraordinary or unusual items to consider in this calculation. What is this a percentage of? What is the calculation?
I have the entry as a debt to Income Tax Expense and a Credit to Income Tax Payable.

Answer: Income Tax Expense is a percentage of Net Income. Your entry is correct. So you have to calculate Net Income Before Income Tax, skip a line, put Income Tax and the formula of .32*the cell with NIBIT, then total it and call it Net Income After Income Tax.

in going through my classwork, Line 3 asks for income tax withheld. when I calculate payroll, I see that I have it broken down.. Federal Withing per tax table 15-T from the persons W-4 exemptions, then FICA. is it both, or just Personal Individual one withheld.

Answer: No, just withholding, FICA goes on line 5.

my topic is social security.
i know someone that never worked, because he could get more money of the governments social security, than he could by working.
shouldn’t anyone that is on social security be forced to work 9-5 cleaning the streets, and go on a job list, and if they get asked to work then they should do, otherwise they lose there money.
how is this fare some people get away taking tax payers money (think of that income tax) for sitting and doing nothing all day.
with regards to the title. have more kids, get more social security money, the population is to much as it is, we don’t need more “5 baby mums” (i add, just for the government money, its fine if you work hard).
