Question: How long for tax refund after amendment?

I filled an amendment on my taxes for the Earned Income Tax Credit and will be getting money back for it, how long do you think or how long does it usually take to get the refund back?

Answer: About 10-12 weeks,

I did my amendment in April, I got my in about the end of July.

Answer: you can file it. 1040X is what you would file. and included as supporting documentation the schedules that changed from the original return.

Question: In WA, does the spouse need to claim child support on her taxable income?

Child resides with the parent receiving the child support in WA, who has the child more then 50% of the time. Father is not a resident of WA but Canada and did not claim payments on taxes. Payments were not court ordered, does anyone need to file the expenses/income for a tax adjustment?

Answer: The fact that you live in Washington is irrelevant. Child support is never taxable or claimable as a deduction. This is because the money is technically for the child, and parents supporting their child is not taxable.

This is different from alimony, where the money is for the ex spouse.

Question: I was really stupid, should I call?

I have wanted to sleep with this girl for years, and she finally let me into her apartment after a date. Whilst she was making some soup for us both, I looked under the coffee table. There I found a dead (honey) bee. All of its legs had been pulled out, and its wings were laying beside it, which was a disturbing sight, to say the least.

This did not put me in a romantic mood. When she returned with the soup, i no longer found her to be the beautiful sexy woman I always had. I could not maintain any sort of state of arousal that night, simply due to the discovery of the dismembered insect. This has never been a problem for me before. The whole night was a disaster, and we were both left unsatisfied the following day.

I have not talked to her, or contacted her in weeks. Now I realise that the bee was probably killed by her ex-boyfriend, a greasy and nasty character, who’s now out of the picture. I miss her and realise how stupid I was. Can I amend this situation?

Answer: Seriously? Of course you should! She probably thought that something was wrong with HER when you didn’t do anything that night. Did you tell the truth? When you see her next time do that, you’re really absurd. And yes, you can amend the situation, it’s really nothing to worry about, I’m sure she still cares for you like she did before, though I bet she’s all confused about the situation. Just meet her again, explain what happened, and hope this time will be the charm
