Question: Any of you taken the Liberty Tax Service Course and worked for them?
How much was the course, books, etc., and what do they pay? Is it hourly or commission? Hope it is not a minimum wage job. Is it only seasonal work? Any and all info you can give on this company would be great! Thanks.
Answer: I have worked with Liberty for 6 years. The 10 week tax course provides terrific tax knowledge ranging from the basics like how to enter income, select filing status to more complex topics like dealing with stocks and bonds on tax returns and completing small business returns. There is additional training once hired too.
Liberty does not charge tuition for the tax school. The only fee is the cost of the text books, around $119 for a set of 3 books. Pay- it is hourly plus commission. Call your local office for more details on that. And like most tax places, it is a seasonal position, Jan. through April 15.
