Question: Tax question and real value of income in the USA? This should get some good responses LOL!?
A single man with say an income of 30,000 a year has about the same take home pay of a woman who has 1 child and makes 20,000 a year.
To wit earned income tax credit, head of household, and the childs deduction.
Also at a county level their are discounts on taxes for wifes that there husbands pass and also SSI.
Why are single men being so discriminated against by the USA and its tax laws?

Answer: I challenge you to prove any of this. Moreover, the tax treatment of the single parent is the same, whether male or female. If your first sentence is correct, it would be equally correct of a single woman with an income of 30k and a single man with 1 child and an income of 20k. Thus, the rules have nothing to do with gender.
