Question: Is it too late to donate to charity for my 2009 taxes?
I know certain things the deadline is April 15th or extension (Oct 15th) for personal income taxes..
However can I still donate bags to goodwill/salvation on say March 28th and then be able to claim them for my 2009 year taxes?
I know charity rules has changed recently so please make sure your answer is current with today’s laws, thanks!
Answer: No. Except for cash donations to Haiti relief which can be deducted for 2009 even if made 1/12/10-2/28/10, charitable donations have to have been made by 12/31/09 to qualify for deduction on 2009 taxes.

Question: What is my parents’ income tax on FAFSA?!?
For the financial information on FAFSA, it asks for my parents’ income tax for 2009. What does that include? Federal? Social? Medicare? I have no idea!
