Question: For old tax returns (1040EZ to be exact), can you mail in two years worth of returns in one envelope?

If each return is two pages each, should I staple them as well?

Also, if I live in Virginia, is this the right place to send the tax returns?

Answer: NO! NEVER send multiple years in the same envelope! As often as not, the troll that opens the envelope staples the whole mess together, resulting in the first one being processed and the second one being ignored completely.

Mail each one separately. Send them Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested. This gives you positive proof of mailing and receipt by the IRS.

I would presume the IRS site would give you the correct mailing address.
