Question: Which field… Audit or Tax?
I’m in the process of being accepted in to two of the top four accounting firms and I’m quite excited to say the least. However, I’m having trouble deciding whether I should go into the Audit field or Tax field… any input would be greatly appreciated as I’m actually filling out the acceptance applications as I write =]
I’m from Syracuse University… not an Ivy League; but my gpa is 3.9 and im also involved in Beta Alpha Psi which networks with a lot of great accounting firms – I talked with a partner at PwC and he also told me with the economy they hope to be hiring the same amount as they did last year but everything is up in the air because of the state of the economy
Answer: Please take up a career in tax . This field is unaffected by the ups and downs in economy and lucrative too !!
