Question: Tax return is in the IRS Examination section what is that?
My refund is on review and has been for over two months, i owe no debts and back taxes, called customer service today and told it was just been put in the examination section this week.
Anyone know what the examination section is? and how long is that going to take?
Answer: You’ll just have to wait it out. Without reviewing your tax return it’s impossible to say why yours might have been pulled for examination. Something on your return has raised the IRS’ interest or is way out of whack for the norms for your income, etc.
