Tax Table Brackets

Tax Table Brackets

Question: If I sell some shares, will the whole thing be taxed, or just the difference?

I know that money acquired through the sale of stock is taxed, but is the difference between the initial and final amount taxed, or the entire amount?

I remember seeing a tax bracket table where the smallest percentage was 10. How can anyone make any money below 10% growth if that is exactly the amount you are taxed?

Answer: You only get taxed on the gains or losses. If you invest 100 and sell for 150 only the 50 will get taxed. Also, if you invest 100 and sell for 50 you can claim the 50 loss as capital loss.

This are called Capital Gain Tax or Capital Loss.

Tax Online Disc

Question: online car tax ?

My car tax disc is getting expired on 31st of this month. Can i buy online on last day i.e. 31st or i have to buy few days before. i m only able to buy on 31st though otherwise i have to go to post office n stand in long que’s

Answer: If you leave it that late you will still be unable to drive your car until you actually get the disc through the post so it’s best to either brave the queues at the post office or do it on line today and you will have it by the end of the week. You cannot technically drive your car without the disc even though it may be in the post.
