Tax Return India Online

Question: I really need help finding the lowest rates on a flight to India.?
My family is planning on leaving from NY (airport JFK) to go to India (Amritsar, airport ATQ) on August 16 and returning September 2. I am on a tight budget and cannot find an affordable rate, which for me would be $1200 or less (including tax). I have checked all of the popular websites, including:
- Expedia
- Travelocity
- Priceline
- Cheaptickets
- Makemytrip
- Cheapoair
- Orbitz, and a few othersI would prefer to buy the tickets online rather than go to an agent. Thanks!
Answer: Hey! I am also trying to book to Pakistan.
I have found that for international travel, the above websites you listed above (Orbitz, cheaptickets) do not always offer the best deals because they are actually run by US-based companies. Instead, go directly to each indivdual airlines website.
I have been doing this for years: first go to the website of the airport that you would like to arrive in and find all the airlines that fly there. Then, go to each individual website and first view the route map- you may be able to connect airlines somewhere, if you are a rough traveler.
The deals are out there, but are not always published widely…. and it takes some good research.
I know for a fact you can book Air India for less that $1200
Good luck!
