Question: Can I still write off my mortage interest and taxes if I recieved the first time home buyers credit for 2008?

we bought a house in May of this year. We filed an amended tax return to receive the $8000 tax credit. my question is when I file our taxes for 09 in january can i still write off my interest and property taxes. I have heard that yes I can and then I have also heard from one person I can’t for a certain amount of time because we got the 8000 tax credit. I am looking for the correct answer in writing off a web page or something. No offense but word of mouth goes both ways. I already know that I can’t move for 3 years or I have to pay the $8000 back. That is the only stipulation I recall coming across in the information on the tax credit.

The problem with buying a house in May is that you only have 7/12ths of the year. Add up the interest, the points, the property taxes, etc and see if they exceed your standard deduction or not. If they do, you itemize.

They arent getting rented And money is being lost, so I really need to find some tenets. I’ve emailed subway, but they havent gotten back to me. Its in Michigan. I need stuff like pizza places, subway kinda stuff, coffee stuff (no drive thru though), hair salons, tanning, maybe like Tax Services. the problem is that i can’t find any real estate sections under their franchising section on their website for me to suggest my building. Can anyone find some places for me?

Answer: I found a spot one time for a fastenal store. I drove around and looked for “for rent” signs. I wasn’t too high tech, but I was the decision maker. Now I’m in RE. I never overestimate the value of strategic marketing.
